Healthy skin does not come in bottles, yes of course product choice is important and helps to support the skin and in Ayurvannas case we believe in the skins natural skin barrier, protecting this barrier & encouraging the skin to self heal as its designed to do. 

Your skin is your guardian angel. One of the most important functions of our skin is to protect. Our skin sends messages when something is out of balance (yes our skin talks to us). It is like a messenger of the body, giving us important messages that something is wrong within or out of balance.

 

Owning a skincare company and being in the beauty industry for over 19 years, I’ve always had men and woman asking me questions about their skin “why do I have acne, brown spots, itchiness, and oiliness?”

One of the big problems in this day and age is the conventional skin care approach. Usually a 7 step beauty routine with the inclusion of synthetic chemicals which just silences and conceals the messages our skin is giving us. Many of the symptoms we are experiencing in the body are apparent and communicated through our skin, this is why we need to look deeper to understand these messages and the root cause.

The path for beautiful skin starts on a journey of what foods you consume daily, no GMO's, organic when you can, fresh, plant based, and for skin health really focusing on laying down a foundation of good gut flora & gut loving bacteria! Our gut health is what shows on our skin! 

Here is a list of the best skin loving gut health foods, it only takes about 1 month consuming daily to show a huge difference in skin appearance. 

Start with -

Sauerkraut is a source of immune-boosting probiotics and nutrients. The bacteria that populate your gut can have a strong influence on your immune system. I buy from New World for $6.80 and it lasts about 2 weeks having a few teaspoons a day. Or you can make your own Sauerkraut easily, and not only Sauerkraut but any fermented veggies are going to give your gut the good bacteria.

#Kefir Yogurt drink daily, billions & billions of gut flora inside, costs the same as normal yogurt just is a thinner constancy. Perfect in smoothies. Drinking a little each day for a month introduces your gut and intestinal system to a whole new colony of bacteria that boosts your immunity and overall health and skin.

#Apple Cider Vinegar with "mother" teaspoon daily - The must is what holds the “mother” which is a colony of bacteria that work as probiotics when you consume them. Probiotics were shown in 2011 to have an immune-boosting effect. Helps with skin inflammation. 

#Use Clean Non toxic skincare - There is increasing awareness and concern within the scientific and public communities that chemical pollutants can suppress immune processes and thus cause increased development of neoplastic and infectious diseases. Using a skincare range that has no dangerous chemicals & toxins is going to keep your immunity levels high, as your body wont be going into overdrive trying to rid itself of all the toxins from cosmetics, medications and foods instead of your immune system focusing on incoming viruses and inflammation resulting in calmer skin, it may even help to ease rashes.
