    Pitta is a fire element and needs to avoid the body from being in the sun too much, take cooling baths rather than hot, walk once the sun has gone down, eat as much raw and cold foods like salads and fruit, avoid eating spicy hot foods. You can burn yourself out by adding more and more stimulants like coffee and warm drinks, but you need to cool down and relax in order to recharge.     There are six basic flavors in Ayurveda, - sweet , sour, salty, pungent, bitter, astringent

    Sweet – carbohydrates, proteins, fat , nuts and meat

    Sour – citrus, tomatoes, cheeses, salad dressing, aged fermented foods

    Salty – salt, soy sauce, vegetable seasoning blends

    Pungent – chili peppers

    Bitter – green leafy vegs, tea , coffee, pure chocolate

    Astringent – lentils, beans ect

    Daily ritual for Pitta

    Wakeup 60 mins before sun rise

    Breakfast – cold cereals or smoothies

    Teeth ritual – after you brush your teeth massage your gums with cardamom and a pinch of rock salt and sesame oil

    Shower/bathing routine – massage the body starting from the feet up to the heart with Your Ayurvanna Pitta oil, in soft gentle movements to relax the mind and body, then shower using a few drops of this oil in the day to help reduce tension.
